Description: Range –20° to 55°C x 1°C and –10° to 120°F x 2°F, spirit and mercury filled, length approx. 204mm movement of mercury in the U-bend, consequent upon expansion or contraction of the spirit, forces steel indices along the bore. Readings are taken at lower end of indices, which are reset by magnet supplied mounted on anodizes aluminum scale on steel mount and white steel metal case.
